Centre Access
Access to Altona Gate Shopping Centre is easy from surrounding areas being closely situated to the Westgate Freeway and having extensive frontage to Millers Road. The Centre is therefore highly accessible to residents of Yarraville, Spotswood, Altona, Williamstown, Newport, Laverton and Altona Meadows.
Altona Gate Shopping Centre is open seven days a week including late trading Thursday and Friday evenings and is located approximately 11km west of Melbourne's CBD. It is easily accessed by MET bus route 232 which runs from the City via the World Trade Centre over the Westgate Bridge. Bus routes 411 and 412 run from Altona Meadows to Altona and Footscray via Millers Road. Bus route 417 runs from Williamstown via Millers Road to Sunshine. Free parking exists for 1,780 cars with 1,130 of these being under cover.
Altona Gate is now also serviced by Route 903. This is a frequent "Smart Bus" route serving Altona, Sunshine and many suburbs around the northern, eastern and southern suburbs to Mordialloc.
